Shifting Dynamics of ICDR Rules and Impact for Stakeholders in Asia: Virtual Town Hall
The ICDR® amended its Dispute Resolution Procedures, including the Arbitration and Mediation Rules, effective on March 1, 2021 – continuing its focus on innovation, efficiency, efficacy and thought leadership in dispute resolution. The AAA-ICDR Asia Case Management Centre, as part of its Coffee Connect Series, is hosting an exclusive, interactive town hall focusing on its revised rules and its impact for stakeholders in Asia.
Senior members of the drafting committee come together with leading practitioners in Asia and America to discuss the distinguishing features of the amended ICDR Rules, along with the impact on costs, and a focus on autonomy and the benefits to users.
Expert practitioners while sharing their experiences will discuss the real impact these amendments will have to dispute resolution procedures, particularly from the Asian region. Our carefully curated participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and share their own perspectives, making this discussion truly unique and beneficial to all stakeholders.

KEY ISSUES TO BE DISCUSSED:
• Rule revisions resulting in improved efficiency and economy
• Impact on mediation including reference to use of Singapore Convention
• Changes resulting in expansion of transparency, party autonomy including recognition of electronically signed order.

The live discussion will address challenges and problems of stakeholders in Asia along with specific issues beneficial to stakeholders in the region. This town hall is an excellent opportunity for participants to understand the real impact of the amended ICDR Dispute Resolution Procedures.
